Meet by midday on 9th September for a light lunch at the Milestone Café, situated alongside the MOVE Museum at 7723 Goulburn Valley Highway, Kialla.
After lunch we will adjourn to the museum to view the exhibits. The collection includes vehicles and machines from every era, the Garth Wallace Harley Davidson Collection, the Kenworth Dealer Truck Pavilion, the Farren Bicycle Collection of vintage bikes, the Loel Thomson Costume Collection covering 200 years of Australian fashion, the Clayton Collection of gramophones, telephones and radios, and the Furphy Museum showcasing the historic family business. Nearby is the Chocolate Apple Factory.
Entry fees: Adults $20, Concession $16 and children (5-16) $12.
Accommodation for the night is at the Overlander Motel a 97 Benalla Road, Shepparton. Rooms are $145 double or $135 single per night. You will need to make your own booking at the motel. Phone (03) 5821 5622.
Our evening meal will be in the Motel bistro.
The Shepparton Swap Meet is run by the Goulburn Valley Motor Vehicle Drivers Club and is held at the Showgrounds in High Street, Shepparton.
Entry for the general public commences at 7:30 am. Entry fee is $5 (children under 14 free). Alcohol and dogs are not permitted on site.
Lunch and refreshments are available on site.
Participants can head for home at any time on the Sunday after visiting the Swap.
