The Club outing for August is the Federation Picnic at Marong in central Victoria.
Meet at the Marong Golf Club parking area on the Calder Alternative by 10:00 am to proceed together into the display area.
Entry to the display area is restricted to cars that are at least 25 years old and is free for members of clubs affiliated with the Federation. You will need to carry your Packardian with you to show the marshals at the entry point that you are part of the Packard Car Club and so entitled to bring your car into the display area. There is a $20 fee per car if lacking the Club Newsletter.
For the safety of all patrons, movement of cars within the display area is restricted between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm, meaning that you must have your car in that area before 10:30 am and only leave after 2:00 pm. This will be strictly policed by the marshals.
Bring your own picnic lunch or alternatively purchase it from the food tent. Just remember that sometime the queues get quite long so be prepared for a bit of a wait.
The Picnic is a good opportunity to get together and also have the chance of seeing some cars that are rarely taken to other events.
