Following Christmas in July at the Stones property, if you came from “up north” when returning on Sunday, stop and enjoy the Classic Car Display and Charity BBQ hosted by Miles Felsted. I attended last years event, as did Robert Stone, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. You’ll be able to wander through Miles’ two BIG sheds which are full of all sorts of interesting vehicles as well as taking in the various cars attending the event. Miles is a member of the Bentley Drivers Club who have their own Christmas in July in the Southern Highlands bookended by the Car Display and BBQ. Leaving Goulburn about 10:00am, a leisurely Packard drive will get you there right about the 11:00am start time. Travel up the Hume Motorway to Marulan and turn right, onto the Highland Way. After travelling through Tallong and Wingello the Highland Way morphs into Penrose Road. After passing through Penrose, Miles’s property on the left after about 6.4kms(4miles).
